A weekend Retreat Exploring Natural Dyeing and Botanical Colour

Join Naomi for an introduction into natural dye techniques and the world of botanical colour. This nourishing and creative retreat will explore how to capture colour from the world around us in natural fabrics and fibres.

The retreat will cover non-toxic mordant techniques and will give you the skills to extract colours from flowers, barks, and leaves. We will forage on Exmoor to see what colours are hidden in the winter landscape, deepening our relationship with nature and the abundance around us.

You will leave with your very own shibori and bundle dyed pieces of organic silk. You will learn the techniques and ideas needed to empower you to continue your natural dye journey back home.

Naomi is an artist, educator, and nature based facilitator. Her work centres around weaving connection between land, community and creativity. She works with the abundance of nature to celebrate beauty, play, and curiosity through practical relationships with plants, flowers, and fibre.
