About the event
Where do you gather inspiration for your art? How do you start a painting when you don’t know where to start? Over this day long workshop, artists Kitty Hillier and Naomi Hannam will support you to look at your everyday surroundings afresh with close observation, experimental drawing and painting.
We will start with a slow wander through Potager’s beautiful gardens and take time to notice, look and wonder. We will gather objects for inspiration and draw our surroundings. Using all of our senses, there will be time to pay attention to the seasonal transitions, abundance and sounds of summer.
Play will be at the heart of the day. Naomi & Kitty will share a range of creative processes that connect us to our creativity and the landscape. A collective canvas will provide an opportunity to explore colour on a large scale, and a starting point to re-work into our own unique paintings. If you are looking to connect to your creativity in nature and find fresh ideas to awaken your imagination, this course is for you.
Cost - £105 -The day includes tea, Coffee and all materials. Lunch will be available from Potager’s Cafe or you are welcome to bring a packed lunch.
