About the event
Come and explore the hidden dye plants of Cornwall alongside the colours that can be found from the scraps from Potager’s kitchen. The workshop will be based in Potager’s greenhouse studio with time to go on a foraging walk in the gardens and woods. Explore non toxic mordant techniques, learn to extract colours from flowers, barks and leaves and leave with your very own bundle dyed piece of organic silk and swatch sheet. Lunch will be available from the Potager Cafe.
Run by Naomi Hannam- ‘I am artist, educator and nature based facilitator. My work centers around weaving connection between land, community and creativity. I work with the abundance of nature to celebrate beauty, play and curiosity through practical relationships with plants, fungi and fibre’.
