About the event
Come and explore the hidden dye plants of Autumn alongside the colours that can be found from the scraps from Potager’s kitchen. The workshop will be based in Potager’s greenhouse studio with time to go on a foraging walk in the gardens and woods. Explore non toxic mordant techniques, learn to extract colours from flowers, barks and leaves and leave with your very own bundle dyed piece of organic silk and swatch sheet.
Run by Naomi Hannam- ‘I am artist, educator and nature based facilitator. My work centers around weaving connection between land, community and creativity. I work with the abundance of nature to celebrate beauty, play and curiosity through practical relationships with plants, fungi and fibre’.
£80 fot the day.
The workshop includes all materials and tea. Please bring a packed lunch or you can order lunch from the Potager Cafe. The workshop will be running qith a reduced group size to create a covid safe environment.
