About the event
Come and explore the hidden dye plants of Cornwall and dye your very own pair of British wool socks. This is a hands on, experiential workshop to empower you to take natural dying back home. Have you ever wondered what colours you can get from the plants around you and from your own kitchen scraps? Together we will explore non toxic mordant techniques, forage for colour in Potager’s garden on a foraging walk and learn to extract colours from flowers, barks and leaves – and you will leave with your own wool socks and seasonal colours swatch sheet. This is a full, creative, playful and empowering day, suitable for beginners, run in Potager’s beautiful garden studio.
Run by Naomi Hannam of Creative Roots– ‘I am artist, educator and nature based facilitator. My work centres around weaving connection between land, community and creativity. I work with the abundance of nature to celebrate beauty, play and curiosity through practical relationships with plants and fibre’
