About the event
Come and spend the weekend weaving with beautiful soft materials to make your own lidded foraging basket or pouch. This weekend will be an introduction to basketry and an exploration of the abundance of natural materials available to us. This workshop is suitable for beginners – we will be working with native rush and barks learning basket making techniques and getting creative. We will explore a range of weaving and cordage techniques and have time to finish your foraging basket complete with strap and wooden button.
The course will also include a walk round Potager's garden to learn about how to forage your own materials including dandelion stems, willow barks and grasses.
